Get ready for an extraordinary week of music as Westlake proudly presents Westlake Music Gala Week, delivering two outstanding showcase performances in one week!

The week begins with the Choral Gala on Tuesday, 4 August at 7:30pm in the Westlake Girls High School Events Centre. This evening features a vibrant showcase from all of our Westlake choirs as they present their finest repertoire. It is an especially exciting time for our vocalists, with several ensembles preparing to represent the school on the national stage – Nota Bella at the Big Sing Cadenza in Rotorua and Cantare, Voicemale, and Choralation at the Big Sing Finale in Christchurch.

The excitement continues with the Instrumental Gala on Friday, 7 August at 7:00pm in the Westlake Boys High School Auditorium. This concert will highlight the full range of Westlake’s instrumental talent, featuring our concert bands, jazz bands, chamber orchestras, and the full symphony orchestra. Audiences will get an exclusive preview of the high-powered sets these ensembles are preparing to take to the annual KBB Music Festival next month.
