Junior Treble Voices Festival
Ancient Echoes of Shared Shores
WGHS Event Centre
Sunday 9 August, 4:00pm

Join us for an inspiring afternoon of choral music at the Westlake Girls High School Events Centre on Sunday, 9 August 2026 at 4:00pm. The Junior Treble Voices Festival is proud to present ‘Ancient Echoes of Shared Shores’, a special concert performed in celebration of World Indigenous Day. 450 young treble singers from 10 different choirs will gather for an intensive day of collaborative workshops and rehearsals before taking the stage for this exciting public showcase.

The performance spotlights each choir showcasing pieces from their own distinct repertoires. Audiences will enjoy individual sets from the North Shore Children’s Choir, Top Notes from Belmont Intermediate, Nota Bella from Westlake Girls High School, the Northcross Intermediate Massed Choir, Korokoro Tui from Takapuna Normal Intermediate School, the North Shore Children’s Choral Academy, Treble Clefs from Kristin Junior School, Notables from Murrays Bay Intermediate, the Carmel College Junior Choir, and the Ficino School Choir.

We are also thrilled to welcome our guest clinician and conductor, Kelsey Taylor, visiting all the way from Toronto, Canada. A passionate educator, conductor, and trained opera soprano, Kelsey brings a wealth of experience leading young voices, including her notable work with the Canadian Children’s Opera Company and the Toronto Children’s Chorus. She will be guiding the choirs through their workshops during the day and directing the massed choir in the afternoon concert.

Don’t miss this powerful celebration of story-telling and culture brought to you through choral music!
